Jan 8, 2021
The Bowery Mission Women’s Centers ― providers of faith-based residential programs for women who have experienced homelessness due to abuse, domestic violence, addiction, job loss, health issues or poverty ― recently opened a second location in Harlem in New York City. The Centers, which provide a supportive community, classes and counseling, and job employment assistance, offer a secure environment, a spiritual foundation and a community of caring for women with no place to turn.
"We are thrilled to partner with American Standard and appreciate their support to equip every bathroom in our new Women's Center in Harlem," said Ed Morgan, president of the Bowery Mission. "This home will allow us to serve 30 women at a time and will double our services for women in crisis in New York City."
American Standard was proud to donate plumbing products to outfit the remodeled building housing the new Bowery Mission Women’s Center in Harlem. This included Cadet PRO high efficiency toilets (HET) that use only 1.28 gallons per flush (gpf) and feature the Company's exclusive PowerWash bowl cleaning technology and EverClean surface that helps toilets stay cleaner, longer. Plus, durable Lucerne wall mounted lavatory sinks in the bathrooms are complemented by ADA-compliant Reliant 3 faucets that feature a hot-limit safety stop.
American Standard was proud to provide style, comfort and water saving high performance to women on the road to recovery, a fruitful investment with life-changing results.
