What Does Pressure Balance Mean?
What is a Pressure Balance Shower Valve?
Pressure balance shower valves protect you from drastic temperature changes. Should a lot of cold or hot water be used from one of the water supply lines, such as a toilet flushing, turning on a faucet, or filling a washing machine, the pressure balanced valve will maintain a relatively constant water temperature and pressure in your shower. Many of our pressure balanced shower valves come with a hot-limit safety stop you can set to a maximum water temperature in order to prevent accidental scalding.
American Standard Pressure Balance Shower Valves are constructed with a cast brass body so they are durable and ideal for prolonged contact with water. Designed to work with our TRIMendous™ valve trims you have a number of options to choose from. The trim kits are design-matched to our bathroom collections, so you can find the perfect covering for your pressure balance valve.
